The Microtech MSI S/E (210T-10APPMDE) brings the Microtech Standard Issue platform together in Dark Earth, mating an Apocalyptic-finished M390MK sheepsfoot blade to a Tri-Grip high-strength polymer handle running Microtech's RAM-LOK bar lock. It is the workhorse of the Microtech manual line: USA-built, overbuilt, and priced to actually carry.
The 3.88" single-edge sheepsfoot blade is ground from M390MK, the powdered stainless Bohler produces specifically for Microtech, and finished in Apocalyptic, a tumbled stonewash-style treatment that shrugs off scuffs and fingerprints. The flat, straight cutting edge and low tip make it exceptionally good at board work, breaking down boxes and any task where you want the point under control.
Dark Earth Tri-Grip polymer scales are molded with three distinct grip zones and reinforced with hardened steel liner plates, so the handle stays rigid under load while keeping overall weight at a manageable 5.0 ounces. A titanium backspacer ties the frame together, and the Iconic X button sits proud on both sides of the handle.
The RAM-LOK bar lock opens and closes the blade ambidextrously with a thumb slot in the blade, and the reversible pocket clip supports left-hand carry. Made in the USA with a lifetime of hard use built in, this Dark Earth MSI is one of the best values Microtech makes.
