55 gallon drum of Tannerite explodes with a visible shock wave hundreds of yards wide

The Big Shandy Shoot Out is the largest machine-gun shoot in the United States.

Twice a year spectators and shooters gather in the Northwestern Arizona desert to celebrate a love of firearms and explosives.

In this video, a 55 gallon drum filled with Tannerite was set far back on the rolling desert landscape.

After being struck with a round, the barrel exploded with enough force to send a massive shockwave across the entire range.

Watch the video below. You can clearly see the wave of compressed air flatten the vegetation before it reaches the firing line.
