Custom barrel converts Thompson pistol to a literal hand cannon firing .600 Nitro Express

This weapon may have started life as a Thompson Center Contender pistol, but it has been transformed into a literal hand cannon.

The good folks at Match Grade Machine created a custom after market barrel that looks just like a 19th century cannon.

The fact that it fires .600 Nitro Express rounds, a 15.7×76 mm cartridge, drives the concept all the way home.
