“Double Trouble” shotgun round fires two slugs for the price of one

TAOFLEDERMAUS is back with another shotgun slug prototype.

The modified Lyman slug is a tried and true projectile that is both accurate and deadly.

For the “double trouble” duplex round, TAOFLEDERMAUS has loaded a pair of lighter weight Lymans into a single shotgun shell.

The first shot didn’t quite go as planned. Without anything to separate them, the two slugs became fused into a single “long slug” that wasn’t nearly as accurate.

After finding a way to keep the two slugs separate while traveling down the barrel, TAOFLEDERMAUS saw an improvement in accuracy. The rear slug travels through the low pressure wake created by the fore slug flying ahead of it.
