New .50 cal sabot slug acts just like a tiny tank round for your shotgun

TAOFLEDERMAUS takes a look at an all new .50 caliber sabot shotgun slug.

This slug is currently only available in Russia and was sent to the US by viewer Alexey Lavov.

Like all foreign rounds sent to him, TAOFLEDERMAUS had to reload the sabot slugs into fresh shells.

These three part sabots are relatively light weighing only 16.5 grams.

Overall the slug performed well, but there were a few ballistic issues coming from the snug fit between the gas piston and the projectile.
