Remote control machine gun system acquires, tracks, and eliminates targets from up to 1,500m away

Meet the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station, aka the CROW.

Designed for use on armored vehicles, this US military weapon allows operators to acquire and engage targets without leaving the relative safety of their transport.

The CROW is capable of supporting a wide array of weapons systems including the MK19 grenade launcher, M2 .50 cal machine gun, M240B machine gun, and M249 SAW.

The “bionic eye” attached below the barrel is composed of a thermal imaging camera and laser rangefinder with an integrated control system providing ballistic corrections up to 1,500 meters for targets moving up to 25 mph.
