Ruger’s New AR-556 Makes It’s Debut In The AR Pistol Market

Ruger has unveiled their all new AR-556 pistol, complete with SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Stabilizing Brace.

Unlike similar short-barreled rifles chambered in 5.56mm NATO, this semi-automatic pistol doesn’t require any extra paperwork or tax stamps.

Weighing just over 6 lbs empty, the AR-556 pistol features a 10.5″ barrel and a free-floating handguard covered in M-Lock accessory slots.Blade City

It comes standard with a 30-round magazine and Ruger flash suppressor. The 1/2″-28 threaded barrel can accommodate a variety of standard muzzle accessories.

The bolt is made from 9310 alloy steel and the flattop upper is made from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum including the dust cover and casing deflector.

Currently the MSRP is just under $900, comperable to Springfield’s Saint pistol.

This firearm is non-compliant with California and Massachusetts state law.
