The Blade City Exclusive Daily Carry Co Warden is a first on two counts: it is Daily Carry Co's first-ever exclusive run for any dealer, and it is the first time the Warden has been built with a crossbar lock. Only 400 were made, every one for Blade City, and each ships in the orange-and-grey Blade City Exclusive box.
The handle is what makes each knife one of one. The scales are cut from a layered, Damascus-pattern G10 in red, blue and black, and because the pattern runs through the block, no two pieces look alike. The knife you receive will carry its own swirl of color, not a copy of the one in the photos.
Under the scales is a Sandvik 14C28N stainless blade with a hard-angled tanto tip and a satin finish, a steel that takes a fine edge, resharpens easily and resists rust in daily carry. The crossbar lock works the same from either hand, keeps your fingers out of the blade path when closing, and lets the blade drop free for flipping open or shut. A deep-carry pocket clip finishes it.
At $80 for a numbered-run exclusive with a crossbar lock and a one-of-a-kind handle, the Warden is built to be carried, not shelved. When the 400 are gone, there are no more.
