Probably the smoothest flipper I own. Right out of the box it's as smooth as glass but with very little horizontal play in the slim handles. Weight and balance are spot on. The back side curve of the cleaver is actually a nice ergonomic touch for your fingers. Oh and it's as sharp as the devil's manhood, too.

After a solid 6 months the cleaversong did not disappoint. The pictured pike was a " freebie" I know not whether from VT or BC but I'm grateful nonetheless because the like is not only a fearsome knife but makes a 6 months wait on the cleaversong well worth it

It flips great, the only reason it isn't 5 stars is because the back of the knife is thick and gets stuck in the safe handle a lot. But I knew it was good when it survived a fall down the stairs. Still flips well.

very solid but way to stiff - if you have a collection of balisong knives You understand when I say its way to stiff and with it being a heavy knife it is not fluid like I want My songs to be - The cleaver blade is super cool and what makes this a must have for your collection - I lubed the pins and it is way better than it was out of the box...

I love the knife but the pins started coming out after a few hours of flipping and then unexpectedly when I flipped my Balisong when the latch fell off and I found the latch on the floor but the screws were lost. Other than that great product!

Almost Perfect
Love the design and blade shape, but either the pivots on mine are loose or the blade just doesn't align properly because the back of the blade collides with the safe handle a little and kind of rubs against it while it's closed which makes openings a tad sticky. I suspect I might be able to fix it if I tighten the pivots but it doesn't come with the tool to adjust them. Also, personally am going to endeavor to oil it, but it's still quite smooth as is. And as long as I'm nitpicking, the edge of the blade was a tiny bit rough. All in all, falls short of perfect, but it's great value for the price, and again, I really like the design.

If you don't care about proper tolerance, or a well finished product. Some people might say the quality is not good or that this is just cheap garbage but don't belive them its definitely not cheap infact its probably $30.00 more expensive then it should be. Pretty cool knife. All the parts and hardware are great strong quality. My only complaint is it’s not ready to use out of the box. You’re definitely gonna wanna locktite all the bolts give it a better edge and get some grease on it. But after that you’ll have a great knife.

I really like this knive but how can a company lets say like Blade City make such a good quality knive and its a limited edition and made in the USA not put a serial number on each knive and a made in the USA stamp ? I wish somebody could tell me why leave them 2 markers off such a good knife ! This is your reputation and to not do that is a shame on the company and who ever let that go through the cracks should be fired. If i owned the company somebody would be fired and it had to be more than one person. I would have given it 5 stars and probably bought another one even my friend when he seen it i didn't say anything he was looking for a serial # and a made in the USA stamp. What a let down.
I don't think i can trust Blade city enough to buy anything that they make. So idk.

It's a bit heavy but overall, it's a splendid piece of weaponry. It came out of the box fairly sharp (but a little rough) and only really needed to get hit with the finishing side (600 grit) of my sharpener. Pretty nice knife though.

I want so badly to love this knife. It felt like such a high quality knife right out of the box. Everything was great about it, but almost as soon as I started flipping it the screws fell out and made the knife unusable. If the screws would have stayed in, this knife would be above and beyond.

Love this knife.. well when I could use it. Flipped good. Blades sharp and feels solid in your hands. However for the price one would think that the company would have a little better QA. The screws backed out as I opened it and the knife fell apart. Trieng to justify buying a new one and putting loctite on it. Wish it lasted more than a week. Sad.

Love the knife. It came sharp. The action was very stiff but I was able to loosen the screws to make it work like the video. Fit and finish is excellent.
When open the blade is stiff, NO side to side or up and down play. It does have a good quality feel to it.

When I got it it was stiff as heck and the lock is really hard to open and close. But after a a day of useing it. It work perfect. The blade could be ground alittle bit better. Edge wasn't flat. Had a bit of a woble. But still very happy with it

I got it as a birthday gift, and I would love to give it 5 stars, but unfortunately, one of the screws on the knife handles came loose and fell out, and for the life of me I cannot find it. Despite this, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good flipper, though I would recommend that they tighten the handles screws, as to avoid this from happening to thiers as well.

Very decent for the price.
Just got this balisong in a few days ago and gotta say I'm pretty happy with it. At first it will be a little harder to flip due to the stiffness but after a couple hours of flipping, it lossens up a bit. Also the lock on mine was extremely stiff as well but again, after using it for a while, that too will be easier to use. Would rather have it stiff than loose anyway. Knife came pretty sharp as well, not razor sharp but sharp enough to slice paper pretty well. Overall, for the price, I would reccomend this product to any balisong lover.

I grew up flipping these in the 80's. Nice and heavy, latch takes some getting used to. Totally recommend. Pay attention and you will keep your fingers in factory condition, mess up and you will bleed.

This is a solid knife, full steel sandwich construction with ZEN PINS! The spine isn't crowned, but it is beveled so it feels fine. The latch has washers so it is way tighter than a spring latch. The only cons are the zen nipple is kinda big, and it is super Tang heavy. All the weight is around the pivots, so flipping it is just a little awkward, but not impossible. Overall, it's a pretty awesome bali, I would definitely recommend, especially under $50
