At first glance this could pass as something other than it is making it perfect for carry, a strong metal with great balance, a quick push of the button and viola a extended ice pick, looks to made of a strong metal and doesn't look like it would break easily, very sturdy, great response from the button and its so nice I bought my brother one, definitely a great carry. Awaiting the return of the AK47. Bought one several months ago, I have worn it out. Love that the clip has not become loose. It has survived many sharpening.
The Pick looks and feels of good quality. Not quite sure about the release not creating a little blood for the EDC. You have to be careful where you carry it. It could become a vasectomy that you didn't want...lol

I like this. It's important to point out that there is a small detente click when retracting the spike *before* the point is fully retracted which is NOT the safe lock. The spike is fully retracted only when the tip is level with the crown of the pen and no higher. If the point is still protruding above the lip, use a small tool like the end of another pen to press the spike the rest of the way in until you hear the second click. When retracted, the point should never be higher than flush with the crown. I have two of these and both work the same. I don't consider them safe enough for much body carry but with caution the tool has uses.

Pretty cool, maybe a good zombie killing weapon, but the “safety” is also the pocket clip the spins to uncover the release button, not the safest thing to carry but still pretty awesome!

It's a sturdy enough tool for the uses its designed. Some were concerned about closing it again and my solution was simply to tap the point with a hammer a few times lightly while holding the button in, until the shaft is free to go down. That will save a lot of needless banging which may damage the tool.

This thing is great I’ve been looking for an OTF style spike and this is pretty close!
My only concern is a little bit of the spike sticks out and the safety relies on the clip covering the button. I carry it in my stealth bag and it fits comfortably and is use to deploy.
Other than minor saftey issues the guard spike packs a punch!

A very intimidating spike that makes a statement the moment you open it. It locks into place and it is very difficult to engage it while keeping it in your pocket. A very good stealth and unassuming weapon that can catch an assailant off guard and do lethal damage.

Just as advertised
This spike is actually as cool as it looks. Solid spring action, made well, it has a decently sharp point on it. It will go through a soda can upon deployment with ease. I have had small stilettos in the past that when deployed against something would fail and you have to reset the spring mechanism. Very cool, unique item.

Excellent product. Strong spring action, decently pointed tip. It’s a strong enough opening action to go through an empty soda can with ease. I like the sunken “Hidden” button used to activate opening. Simple but seems safe and effective. Good quality for the price.

Wife and I both love it
so got this on whim just to see if it was any good and possibly for the wife to EDC in her purse as a back up to her back up LOL. I was very shocked. Excellent quaulity and the wife fell in love right away. Will probably be ordering more for our daughters and have been recommending this to all my friends for their wives. Only slight dislike I have is wish the handle was textured more . definitely worth the $33

Pretty nice item here. Not quite sure what it will be used for but good to add to the collection. Only cons are that I thought the release button would be more hidden, and you need a hard surface to close it. Wouldn’t be able to close it while indoors without potentially damaging the surface.

I was a bit disappointed with the Guardian Spike, it’s well made and it could be useful in certain situations. My Guardian when reloaded still leaves a tiny, tiny tip sticking out, just enough to hurt if in your pocket
