The Jack Wolf Knives Coffin is the newest pattern in the Gateway Series, the line that brings Jack Wolf's slipjoint fit and finish down to a price anyone can carry. The coffin-shaped handle is a traditional pattern that fills the hand better than its slim profile suggests, and at 3.55" closed and 2.1 oz it rides in a watch pocket or a suit pocket without a bulge.
The 2.85" blade is flat-ground Sandvik 14C28N at 58-59 HRC in a clean satin finish, a stainless that takes a keen edge, sharpens easily and shrugs off pocket rust. Integral satin stainless bolsters and liners, a satin backspring and a keystone shield finish the knife the way a traditional should be finished.
Four scales for this release: Fat Carbon Lava Flow (red and black layered carbon fiber), Smooth Black Bone, Maple Valley Richlite (a warm, paper-based composite that looks like figured wood and never cracks) and Vibe Linen Denim micarta.
