Product Description
The Kizer Snail-trail V2757A3 is a coin-sized 5th pocket knife designed by Caleb Waldman, with a satin AEB-L hawkbill blade tucked inside a matte silver CNC-machined aluminum handle shaped like a snail shell. At about the size of a dollar coin, it disappears into a watch pocket or coin pouch until you need it.
The tiny 0.42" hawkbill curls out from the shell like a snail's antenna, giving you a hooked, controlled edge for opening packages, cutting tags, trimming threads and other small chores. AEB-L is a fine-grained stainless steel known for toughness and a keen, easy-to-maintain edge, here run to 58-60 HRC with a flat grind and satin finish.
Concentric rings machined into the aluminum recreate the spiral of a shell and give your thumb a satisfying texture to spin and fidget with. The matte silver finish is accented by a gold-tone lanyard bushing and a polished thumb stud. An integrated lanyard hole lets you hang it from your keys or bag, and Kizer includes two lanyard cords.
The blade rides on a non-locking detent slip joint, so it is easy to carry in more places than a locking folder. Roll it out with the thumb stud or pinch the jimped spine and flick it open. At roughly 1.1 oz, it is a clever gift and a conversation piece that actually works.
