Johan Jordaan's Wharning has always been a straight-edge specialist, and the Kizer Wharning V3738BW2 dresses it in a swirling blue and purple Vortex Pattern Micarta handle behind a satin-finished N690 Wharncliffe blade.
The 3.40" Wharncliffe puts a dead-straight edge and a fine, acute tip exactly where detail work happens, from breaking down boxes to trimming line and opening mail. Flat ground from 3.0mm N690, an Austrian cobalt-alloyed stainless known for easy sharpening and solid corrosion resistance, the satin finish keeps the grind lines crisp and bright.
The Vortex Pattern Micarta scales are the reason this colorway exists: layered blue, purple and bronze swirls that no two knives repeat, with a grippy, broken-in feel that only improves with handling. Blue anodized hardware and a matching thumb stud tie the palette together across 4.36" of handle.
Deployment comes from the Kizer Button Liner Lock, a big semicircular button that drops the blade open and closed with one thumb and locks up without any hand behind the edge, and a non-reversible deep-carry clip keeps this 3.70oz folder out of sight until you need it.
