Handle and blade come from Johan Jordaan's original Wharning geometry: 3.40" of straight cutting edge, a flat grind through 3.0mm stock, and a needle-fine tip for precision tasks. N690 stainless is the practical choice here, tough, corrosion resistant and quick to bring back to a hair-splitting edge on a simple stone.
