The Kubey Velvet Snake KB266F is a Bastards Knives design executed in etched Nichols Damascus, DLC-coated titanium and 80's camo carbon fiber inlays. This is the high-water mark of the KB collaboration line, a grail-tier gentleman's folder built with materials normally reserved for one-off customs.

The 3.35" drop point blade is forged from Nichols Damascus, the patterned billet steel out of Nichols Damascus in the USA, then acid etched to pull the swirling ladder-and-wave layering into full contrast. Flat ground and run at 60-62 HRC, it is a genuine cutter and not just a display piece, with 0.12" of stock behind a keen plain edge.

The titanium handle wears a deep black DLC coating that sets off the 80's camo carbon fiber inlays, a riot of magenta, orange, teal and gold suspended in resin so no two knives look alike. The backspacer, pivot cap, clip and hardware are all DLC titanium, giving the whole knife a uniform blacked-out frame that lets the Damascus and the inlays do the talking.

Dual thumb studs and caged ceramic ball bearings make the open effortless, and the titanium frame lock snaps into a firm, play-free lockup. A DLC titanium tip-up right-hand clip handles carry, and the knife is covered by a lifetime warranty. For collectors chasing a Kubey that competes with midtech customs, the Velvet Snake is it.
