I've subbed to this monthly otf for years now, off and on. I like it but most of the time you get the exact same knife and the exact same blade just with a different paint job. Maybe twice a year you get something nice enough to almost make it worth it but there really needs to be way more diversity. We just get the leftover remnants of whatever didn't sell that month.
It has also gotten to the point where it is more than a month later that the item is even shipped. I'm pretty sure they are having financial issues to the point where they are about to close up shop. I'm just waiting for the day to finally get charged my monthly fee and end up never receiving my knife. All we get are excuses (sometimes) and apologies. The prices have steadily increased recently (almost every single month) and soon will be too costly to justify keeping the subscription.
Enchittification to the highest degree is finally overtaking my (formerly) favorite knife seller. All good things must come to an end I suppose. They used to ship within two weeks after charging your account. Now it is literally a month or more later. At the rate of change it has been, in six months we will be getting our knives two months behind schedule. Next year we won't be getting them at all. On top of that, they have removed the pause or cancel button from the website so now you have no way to stop your subscription. Way to go. Enshittification wins again.
I wish I had better things to say, when I first signed up, I tried to get several friends to sign up. I no longer try to do this because it would reflect badly on me. If I can't recommend a company, what does that say about them? This company is now being mismanaged and I'm afraid it's failure is imminent. It will be sad to see it go.

I have been ordering from blade city for quite some time now and I can honestly say the products are more then pleasing and extremely well built,,,,, however the staff and crew behind all the orders and customer service and all the phone calls surpass any of the items on the web site. The staff have always been great and very helpful if I could I would take them all out for a drink and some steaks. Till the next order I bid you Adu. . . . . . . . . . . .
