My mystery box was a spring assist knife that I've found to be quite useful, I don't know if I would have bought another spring assist (I have 7) but it's an overall good knife.

The tactical knife is great, but, it took so long to get here it was rediculous. I received fifteen notices saying that my package was arriving. It took weeks. I live in California. I ordered a package from Egypt and it got here in under two weeks.

This is a nice little blade. You would find this in the bargain bin at your local outfitter for around $10. The knife is solidly built with a sturdy blade, there is zero play once the blade is deployed. I received this knife with a mystery box purchase and I am pleased. I would make another mystery box purchase, overall a great buy.

My son is a collector of edged weapons and tools. He was amazed with these gifts, furthermore I was amazed at the service and the speed of Blade City, at getting these quality items to us as quickly as they did, prior to Christmas. In my shipment the mystery knife box did not initially show up on delivery. I called customer support at Blade city and within a day they shipped the mystery knife box and had it delivered to my door, also prior to Christmas. The scorpion tip balisong has a very slight textured outer and just a pinch of blade play to allow for all sorts of balisong tricks. A good quality blade!

The Knife is very good looking... The Assisted Opening mechanism is top notch, the Liner Lock absolutely locks it open. Some might find it hard to disengage. The Black Blade coating looks like it will easily scratch easily. The knife again shows well. I think if it was used as a EDC it would quickly loose it's attractive looks and loosen up beyond an acceptable knife safety tolerances.
I have EDC's that hold up under heavy, borderline abusive, cutting and stripping work. Knives that are made out of Extremely Hard Steels (Newest being D2 - Originally Designed for the Tool, Die, and Stamping sector). This is not one of those, but it really looks like one and performs nicely if Show (Which thank goodness is at it has to do in an Emergency) is all that's called for.
