The Reate Knives Mantis in full black DLC is a stealth-dressed, high-end titanium flipper designed by Alvin Lee. A belt-satin DLC Elmax sheepsfoot blade pairs with a black DLC titanium handle machined with Reate's signature linear pattern, giving the Mantis a murdered-out look that still shows off the craftsmanship up close.
The 3.5″ blade is ground from Bohler-Uddeholm Elmax, a powder stainless steel known for excellent edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, then finished in belt satin under a black DLC coating. Deployment is dual-mode: a crisp flipper tab or Reate's uniquely shaped thumb studs, riding on multi-row ball bearings so the blade glides open and locks up on an inset liner lock.
The handle is the star: completely hidden hardware, with the scales fastened through the backspacer for clean, uninterrupted lines, and a matching black DLC titanium pocket clip (right-hand, tip-up). At 4.9 oz it carries with the solid, dense feel Reate is known for.
