The Reate Knives Vulpex VK-CLU is the result of Reate's collaboration with designer Steven Kempa of Vulpex Knives: a sleek, low-profile titanium flipper with a sculpted, almost aerospace look. This configuration pairs a hand-rubbed acid-wash Elmax blade with blasted, patterned 6AL-4V titanium handles and a crystallized gray titanium pivot collar, finished with bright blue anodized accents at the pivot and backspacer.

The 3.5″ modified sheepsfoot blade is ground flat from Bohler-Uddeholm Elmax, a powder stainless steel prized for its edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The hand-rubbed acid-wash finish gives every blade a one-of-a-kind smoky grain that hides wear and looks better with use.

Deployment is by front flipper on ceramic ball bearings for a smooth, effortless action, locking up on a nested liner lock that keeps the handle slab-sided and clean. The machined titanium pocket clip is reversible for right or left, tip-up carry. At 5.08 oz it has the dense, solid-in-hand feel Reate is known for.
