A little bit light. Could use a lead slug in one of the shutoff slots at the top of the handle. But overall a good feel in the hand. The paracord wrap is comfortable and adds a little shock absorbance in arthritic or cold hands.

Just got the axe, pretty decent quality and was about the size I was expecting. OK balance but seems like I need to choke up on the handle some to get the right ‘feel’. Not a full tang handle. Scabbard is ok too, not extremely robust but functions none the less. The snaps on the scabbard are a little hard to snap off as there is very little for your thumb to get ahold of to grab onto to push the snap open. Other than that the snaps are fine. The slot on the blade is big enough to serve as a gas main valve shutoff tool to if anyone is wondering. I couldn’t find that info anywhere. Overall if the steel was a bit thicker and had a pry bar on it and was full tang at twice the price it would be near perfect.

This was an absolute awesome experience. I ordered this item for my husband, who fell in love with it but couldnt find anything similar to it anywhere else. The ax is extremely sharp. It has a rope loop attached at the end of the handle for safe handling and the blade portion comes with a woven fabric snap cover. Great buy and great gift for my hubby!
