The secret is its carbide structure. By eliminating chromium carbides and relying on fine vanadium and niobium carbides, MagnaCut keeps more free chromium in solution — so it resists corrosion better than many “stainless” steels while staying dramatically tougher than high-carbide super steels like S90V or 20CV. Typically hardened to 60–64 HRC, it holds a working edge for a long time and still sharpens without specialty equipment.
