Vanax Steel Knives
Vanax Steel Knives – Practically Rustproof Performance
Shop our Vanax steel knives, made from Böhler-Uddeholm’s nitrogen-alloyed powder steel. Vanax replaces much of the carbon with nitrogen, which frees up chromium to fight corrosion instead of locking it into carbides. The result is a blade steel with corrosion resistance that rivals or beats H1 while still cutting like a proper super steel.
Hardened to around 59–61 HRC, Vanax delivers excellent edge retention and impressive toughness, an unusual combination for something this rust-resistant. It shrugs off sweat, salt spray and humidity, which is why it shows up on dive, fishing and hard-use EDC knives.
If you carry daily in Florida heat, work around saltwater, or simply do not want to think about maintenance, Vanax is about as close to worry-free as blade steel gets.
